‘Freeland ~ A Blackwater Story’ Trailer

Mountain River Media is currently in production with our third documentary ‘Freeland~A Blackwater Story”. This film showcases the history of the famous Blackwater River in West Virginia, and is told by the pioneers who first descended this fabled waterway in the 1980’s. The Blackwater is one of the premiere Class V+ whitewater runs of the mid-Atlantic and East Coast, with 17 miles of nonstop whitewater through a deep and inescapable canyon. Join Roger Zbel and John Regan as they tell the stories of the first descents, the naming of the rapids, the stories about the 1985 flood, and the people taken from us by this stretch of notoriously dangerous whitewater.
